Important Fraud Alert – Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Scam

We have recently become aware of a scam involving individuals falsely claiming to represent the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). In these scams, consumers are contacted by phone, email, text message, or mail and are instructed to send money, provide personal information, or pay fees to resolve a supposed issue.

Please remember:

The CFPB does not request payments, fees, or money transfers from consumers.
Never provide account numbers, online banking credentials, debit card information, or Social Security numbers to unsolicited callers or messages.
Be cautious of urgent demands, threats, or requests to act immediately.
Do not click on links or open attachments from unknown sources.
Verify any communication by contacting the organization directly using information obtained from an official website or trusted source.

If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from the CFPB:

Do not respond or send money.
Do not provide any personal or financial information.
Report the incident to your financial institution and appropriate authorities.
Notify management if you believe a customer may have been targeted.

Please remain vigilant and report any suspected fraud attempts immediately.
